Anger, It’s Just an Emotion - An Intense Seminar of Self DevelopmentAnger simmers. Anger bubbles. Anger boils. Anger eventually explodes if not dealt with. It is always there, waiting. Sometimes it is buried so deep in our subconscious; and for some of us it is not so deep it is always on the surface. We all have it within us.Some call it our dark side. The part of us we don’t like. The part we don’t like to talk about. Some of us have more anger than others. Some of us learn how to deal with it and some of us don’t. So why all the anger? Good question. Anger is an emotion. Anger can be okay. Many times we have a right to be angry. Grief will lead to feelings of anger. Rejection will lead to feeling angry. Sometimes we feel angry at ourselves for our lack of accomplishments or our perceived failures. We may talk about it and feel better after. We may scream, and feel better after. We may throw stuff and then feel better. But what happens if you do all that and don’t feel better? You scream and continue to scream. You scream at others, and become abusive. You talk and talk and talk and somehow feel worse. You throw things, at others and hurt them.
Can we learn how to deal with anger? Yes. You can learn how to control your outwardly destructive anger and your inwardly destructive anger. You can make peace with yourself and others.
